The reason they fucked up is b/c it was partially frozen, like he said in the beginning, and it was possible overfilled with oil. I'm gonna attemp this for the first time next week.

I heard it's nothing like fries. I'm gonna try to deep fry one this year.

OMG... Fry a turkey in oil... PUKE! I mean, a turkey is already disgusting, well not disgusting, but tasteless... so fried in oil it must taste like some kind of fish & ships but worst... But anyway people like things which taste like nothing...

Ok, this is staged in such a way that you'd have to be a retard to pull it off. You don't fill a fryer to the brim with oil before sticking in a bird. Just like you don't fill your bathtub to the brim before climbing in.

Yes, you can't be a dildo and fry a turkey. You should be a responsible adult, preferably an intelligent one. I have one and it's awesome.

ha ha! Obviously you've never tasted it. Now shut up...

You can imagine the usual results when Cletus and Jethro get a hard lesson in the words "displacement" and "ignition".

These "safety concern" videos are hard to swallow.

Heres the deal: If you are an idiot, or don't have a clue, then don't use a turkey fryer.

That being said, I have two, and aside from using them to homebrew beer I also use them for cooking all kinds of meals. We especially love cajun and seafood boils or fry's.

NEVER add a frozen, or partially frozen turkey to hot oil.

ALWAYS triple check your oil level to be sure it covers the bird, but does not go near the rim of the pot.

I think I'll stick with the baked in the oven method. Deep fried Turkey sounds tasty but there has to be a better and safer way to do it.

There is!!

When deep-frying a turkey: BE SAFE!

I've been using my two fryers for 5 years with zero incidents.
