Keeping hands up is not a martial arts but a sports. Keeping hands up like kickboxers is only for gloves. If keeping hands up without glove, your fists will hit your own face by the kicks you block. And in real fight, you have to protect groin. So your hands shouldn't be too high and too low. If you fail to protect groin, you can't be a father or a mother. Don't believe keeping hands up. Keeping hands up is useful only in the ring where kicking groin is not allowed.

guys please remember that wtf taekwondo is a sport. it is not intended for combat purposes. it as much of a sport as football and basketball is, it has its own set of rules and conduct so please do not place such bias views on the impracticality of tkd.

What does TaeTaeDo mean in Korean? "Tae" means to kick, "Tae" means to kick, and "Do" means the way. What's the 1st principle of TaeTaeDo? Always fighting with both hands down. What's the 2nd principle of TaeTaeDo? Aways using the foot to strike instead of the fists. What's the 3rd principle of TaeTaeDo? Using the tapping force instead of the penetrating power. What's the 4th principle of TaeTaeDo? Using the "WTF" run-around moves to only engage in long-range fighting situation. It's FUCKED UP!!

Both ITF and WTF are from KTF. There are 3 ITF. Choi[the son of ITF founder]'s ITF, A north korean's ITF, a vietnamese's ITF. Choi's ITF is known as the legal ITF. So the other two ITF are maybe illegal ITF. WTF is only one. WTF is the most popular martial arts in world. If your martial art is so good, why isn't your martial arts popular???
