i think the song's about the idea that their love is never meant to work out, no matter when, how or where it happens... because infidelity is infidelity.

intersting theory, i admit, but where is your evidence?...wouldn't you say that occam's razor suggests the video is in fact about time travel since we see what appears the same set of people living in different time periods? of course, this along with the popular opinion among phycisists that time travel is indeed possible...
