The bible says the same thing about spreading its message, but do you really see that many Christians hopping up and acting on it... no.

They are mad at us because of what we have done to their people in the past and what we are still doing to their people to this day, some of the groups just happen to use the Koran as like a source of resolve... It's part of the culture of the people that are angry with us.

Or to put it more plainly it would be like me saying "Burn in Hell asshole!"

Why do they hate you? They hate you because you don't believe in Allah, you don't forbid the wrong and you don't do the right (in the eyes of Allah).

"Listen to your enemies will make yourself safer". That's a debatable argument, don't forget that your enemies are religious fanatical that believe that you are a satanic power. Talking to them would be a sign of weakness and would give them the impression that you are losing the war on terror.

I think they mean that we should pay attention to what our enemies are doing, make sure that we know what our enemies are thinking, so we can try to understand why they hate us (things like us invading their countries and putting people in power because they're easy to control).

Bill Maher is such a tool. When he had Ron Paul on his show in March he made a mockery of the fact that Paul thought we could have handled the abolition of slavery with diplomacy rather than with a war. And now that he completely dominated the Republican debates and people are listening to him he's kissing his ass.
