I agree! The second movement is VERY difficult due to the constant distance of the left hand having to jump back and forth. I played this song many many times and still struggle with the second movment!

Wow. You have no idea what you are talking about. It was recorded on a pianola roll. The tempo is just fine, actually its exactly correct. The "extra notes" are called embellishments that Scott Joplin added while he played.

This was not him. I don't know the piece too well (I'm just beginning to learn to play it), but considering that he died in 1917, its unlikely this is him.
Regardless, this piece is sweet!

This is my favorite song of all time. This is a song that takes a LOT of practice to learn! especially the second movement...it is worth the time spent practicing though when you can start recognizing the sounds of Joplin coming out of your piano through the movements of your own two hands :)

i have to play this.
for a music festival.
i'm not NEAR close to getting it down.
and i don't know HOW i'm going to pull off that last bit.

Whether it was him or not, it's a genius and fun piece.

This is NOT Scott Joplin. I would think Joplin would actually play this correctly since he wrote it. This is not as good as him.
