She took a HUGE amount of time off (13 years)to have a son then she came back in 2005 with a double album called "Aerial." It was a success but she only released one single from it called "King of the Mountain" which was about Elvis Presley. After that she recorded the theme tune to the "Golden Compass" movie which was called "Lyra". Now Kate has gone back into a quiet period.
