Rachelle lends expression to the song with jaw and mouth movements.Expression is one thing thats missing from Mariah Carey performance.If a singer is standing there with sexy poses then she is miming or lacks expression.

but boy is she amazing with the vocal skillz though.

Don't laugh but learn from her. In order to sing at this level one needs to make jaw movements.Remember she isn't using operatic training so she retains her original voice. Also she is lending expression to the song.

That is one mighty massive cavern she's got there! It's interesting how people with bigger mouths get bigger sounds.. Not that smaller mouths/voices have anything less to offer of course. Just different. ;)

show this to any woman you know who can really sing..if they haven't seen it and watch their face. i did that and my friend sat there mesmerized. then, about 3-4 times at least during the record she said..and i quote 'damnnnnnnnnn girl..oh no...i can't do that'
thanks to you singers who educate us listeners as to what ms.Ferrelle is doing with her voice,etc...i'm sure it has to be much more difficult than she makes it seem!

She is switching between head and chest voice BUT some of those super super high notes are in chest y'all, including the two high lines that she held forever each time. RIDICULOUS. Her range is impossible.
