You do realize that this is not a series that pokes fun at religion while simultaneously supporting the Christian belief structure, right? This series is dissing Christianity, and showing how absurd it is.

If you're upset only two episodes in, maybe you should stop watching them?

I think all the various dying/resurrecting god-man myths are beautiful. But I wasn't really going for theological correctness. I was playing off of Tertullian's statement that "it is wholly credible, because it is ridiculous" and the mental gymnastics you have to do to try and wrap your head around the incomprehensible concept of the Trinity. If you take these episodes too seriously, you'll miss out on the fun.

I see, you are correct about the taking these episodes too seriously. Don't worry, that isn't the case. As for the trinity, I agree that this is a tough concept. And eventually all comparison eventually breaks down due to the limitlessness knowledge of God, and our limited knowledge of Him. But I think the "time" analogy is a good one. We have time past, present, and future. None of these are the same, and all have different purposes, but they are all attributes of time itself.
