This was fun to come up with.
Proog is an inventor or scientist of sorts and Emo is sort of a tagalong protege, so they have a Doc Brown/Marty McFly relationship. Proog has discovered this new realm or protoverse (like the Phantom Zone in the Superman movies) which can be used to create things by using your mind. He's been fiddling with this for awhile which is why he knows his way around while Emo struggles. Emo shouldn't be there at all but coerced Dr. Proog into sharing the discovery.

Part 2.
Dr. Proog is passing this knowledge on to the younger Emo. The problem is that (and with all real technology) Proog EARNED the knowledge while Emo just INHERITS it, so Emo doesn't have the discipline required to handle it (like Dr. Malcom said in Jurassic Park). So whenever Proog says "Emo!" he's really saying "be careful 007."
Emo quickly learns how to use 'the power' and abuses it for his own purpose. Proog has opened Pandora's box and must act before it's too late.

A good allegory would be:
PROOG: Look Emo, I've discovered nuclear energy.
EMO: Cool, we can make a bomb with it.
PROOG: You don't know what you're doing. That would be too powerful!
EMO: Silence! You're getting in the way of progress.
PROOG: Noooooo [kills Emo]. What have I done? Maybe the world isn't ready.

One: Prologue
Synopsis: the prologue happens in time right after all the rest of the events in the movie- Proog is remembering/reconstructing after Emo is gone. The scene shows the same location as the final scene, with many hints as to what happened there.
