I didn't realize that wire-wrapping for electric motors was such a black art.

O desejo de vencer está no âmago da maioria das pessoas.

Anyone going that fast on land since electrics are faster off the start. WOULD need a bio break b4 getting in um pit stop(washroom). Or need something later like a change of clothes if never gone that fast b4. Nice car I would like 1 as well

this is basically a train that needs no tracks. I want one

The production of the engine and the gear-change is large industry.

The petroleum industry is very large industry.

Therefore, the car company is not ardent to the development of the electric vehicle.

It is the maximum problem.

This car should be able to exceed 400kmh; they should at least attempt to beat the Bugati Veyron 407.5 kmh. Considering each wheel has 80 hp which means 8x80 = 640hp i presume compared to the veryon's 1000bhp: it would be great to see May shit his pants at 450kmh.
Sanyey (July 26, 2008 at 8:39 am)
dont compare them by horsepowers.. electric engines have great torque.. thats why they could beat a Porsche 911 turbo with this shit..
robhiengler (July 26, 2008 at 2:19 pm)
You're absolutely right however I can't find torque stats for the Eliica thats why I used HP.

I was trying to say when an electric car such as this one can beat the top ICE car - SSC Ultimate Aero TT (yes I thought it was still Veyron) then there might be a shift in attitudes towards EV's.

It's not the potency of the gas cars that makes them sell!
it's the car makers involvement in the Gas lobbys, and all the investment they've made...

Electric cars probably render half of the their manufacturing process obsolete, and most of the companies are probably still amortizing/waiting for the return on their last investments.

I think that's the real main issue.

Also: powerfull bateries are still very expensive, there for to keep a car affordable, you can only travel for a few miles.
