You could say that this song is a half cover, but anyway Coldplay brought some new things to the song and it's actually quite different than Computerliebe. so this "arrangement" has a whole different atmosphere, partly because of the lyrics though. anyways this could be considered as a tribute to Kraftwerk

actually,

it's the guitar riff, the chords for the verse, melody for the verse, chords for the chorus and melody of the chorus..

... but who's counting? =D

They did however write the bridge and the lyrics. I kindof get a kick out of the line "Or write a song nobody had sung, or do something that's never been done."

Priceless, considering that some 80% of the song already existed.

And, you know, there was the whole Kraftwerk-inventing-a-genre-of-music-that-didn't-exist-yet thing.
