is this camera the one with the commercial that a guy packed his bag with only the camera and sock?

why did they put tapes on the microphone? Is it because dust will sets in and affect the image sensor inside?

It really is a lot of money for a camera but technology changes. I assume in 2 or 3 years they have perfected the video short comings. Nevertheless, I do plan on having it more than that. I just got a 5 year warranty plus 1 from nikon. 25 year old camera is just ancient. And yes- I wish I could shit dollars.

I bought it like a week ago and its been awesome. The manual is 279 pages long and I just finished reading it. I now know what all the buttons and menus are for. You got two choices when it come to dslr with video. The D90 or the canon 5D markII. The price is half when it comes to D90 but then it is asc-c type sensor and the MarkII is a full 35mm size. But then if your starting this is the one for you. I hope this one lasts me for at least 3 or more years.
