You See mate , GM owned but AUSTRAIAN MADE ! If you want to talk facts about GM and Holden facts and figures I can certainly indulge your knoweledge ( or lack thereof ! ) as much as you wish .... see my uncle works for Holden in a very high position and has EVEN met Bob Lutz . He also deals with Holdens racing devision at HSV ... so , if you want to state a comment on GM , feel free to do so and I will gladly respond with facts !

atekido : yes the engine is american designed ! It's actually the chevy LS3 V8 , the same engine as the corvette , only built in melbourne Australia . You see , the Holden engine facility in Melbourne produces engines that are exported all over the world and are EVEN TRANSPLANTED in alfa romeo's , saab's and a hell of a lot of daewoo vehicles ( which account for most of the smaller vehicles in the chevy range ! ) They are also used in a broader spectrum of the GM family .

ha hem , att: the pontiac is a holden commodore from australia and is built , designed , engineered and planned all in australia !!! The platform DEVELOPED BY HOLDEN is to be used for all rear wheel drive large cars in the GM empire including the new camaro which ... you guessed it ! Was designed , developed and engineered BY HOLDEN !!!! All because somehow america has forgotten how to build a rear wheel drive car that is export worthy all over the world . They also don't fall apart !!!
