NEVER SWERVE FOR ANIMALS.
I live in Wisconsin, the difference between you being at fault for an accident or not is if you swerve for an animal. If you total out your car hitting a deer it is an act of god (no ticket insurance pays out), If you swerve and hit an oncoming car you are at falt and will get a ticket.
