You don't think her solo career sounds completely different from her stuff with no doubt? One is rock music (or close to rock music), while the other is over-produced computer sounds...maybe it's just me, but I don't care for her solo stuff, I think it lacks soul compared to No Doubt's music. And I'm sure she did hold sway over No Doubt, but I'm almost positive that she wasn't the one writing the music for them. She was obviously the front man, gorgeous, good voice, but she wasn't the brains.

musicians can't stay the same, they can't use the same formula over and over again... perhaps something about hearing the same song over and over? ie, i've heard this album before? anyhow, lead singers usually hold alot of sway in bands, wonder why you think it's so different when she's solo

Yeah, I like no doubt, but ain't a fan of her solo stuff...I know she didn't write these tunes, cuz' here new stuff sounds nothing like this (which is a bad thing, in my opinion)...no doubt rules, Gwen Stefani on her own, not so much...
