Simplest way around it, get through it. The later math, like the Quadratic Equation, I'll use if I'm in either Box maufacturing, or Computer Graphics, I looked it up. Its still useful to learn, just in case. Personally, I doubt I'll ever use it, and that it was a large waste of time, but I don't go to all the math videos and write LOLFAILURE.

We like it, you don't go watch a video you do like.

As an 9th grade English teacher, I can tell you how. Romeo and Juliet is about two teenagers who fall in love and aren't allowed to be together. Macbeth is about a leader who is hungry for more power. Julius Caesar is about the danger of trusting your friends too much. Hamlet is about doing what you believe is the right thing. If you don't get it...talk to some of my 9th graders. They can explain to you how much it means to them. The themes of Shakespeare are ones that all can relate to.

Mr. enghigh101 sir, as a former 9th grade English student that was run through this system for marks, you tell me how these great Shakespearean works relate to the here and now in 21st century America and which people may relate to these characters, i.e. public and private individuals.

Shakespeare - greatest works in literature dealing with every aspect of the human condition. Shakespeare showed me what incredible beauty there was in the world beyond the bleak dirty city I was raised in. This is why it matters. As does history, art and culture for the very reason it may not be happening around children everyday. Should they only experience what is around them? And he lived 400 years ago not 500 that was when your country was discovered or is that not relevent either?

I don't know. I read Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and macbeth and I didn't know what in the hell I was reading. They should google translate his work instead of cliffs notes.

Or maybe your redneck intermarried Alabama porchmonkey parents shouldn't have given birth to such a backwoods retarted creep. I do nothing more than bite my thumb at thee. But on the serious note, if you think Shakespeare's work is hard, try reading Beowulf, written by Anglo-Saxons WAY, WAY, WAY before Shakespeare's time... Go youtube something that you could comprehend, like a redneck hate speech or Jerry Springer... Asshole.

Couldn't be, we're from New York, formerly California and even though Shakespeare is bad, very bad, Beowulf is worse.
