"...It's a strategy of unbelief. The 'minister' wants to grow his church, the 'minister' wants to see success, and so he's looking for all these programs and all these techniques to get people to come in... But he never goes over the bridge and gets to the Word. If you want a power in your Church, be an expository preacher; preach the Word because that's where the Spirit is. Isn't that God's strategy? If we believe God's strategy, we're going to preach the Word."

- R.C. Sproul

I think the movement is falsely so called. If it were really "seeker-sensitive" it would be sensitive to those who have been regenerated by God's Spirit and are actively seeking Him.

Acts 17:27 clearly states that unbelievers can seek God.

that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for "'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, "'For we are indeed his offspring.' (Act 17:27-28)

Who is the "us" and "we" the writer is referring to who "we live and move and have our being"? Do unbelievers live in Christ?

Nah, unbelievers do not actively seek God. The passage states that "HAPLY" (KJV) they should "feel after" and find God. That means "luckily" or by some random chance they should search for Him and find Him.

I agree with Sproul, they are seeking power (and pleasures) in the guise of seeking God.

Well here's a thought.... Maybe you should take the gospel to them. That how they hear the good message. Don't leave it up to you church service. Go get them. Church is for equiping believers to go and do just this.

No one is rejecting evangelism. We are just regecting compromise to reach people. You want evangelize so much than get filled with Holy Ghost and believe God to work through you.
