Rowan Atkinson - 'The Piano Player'
BackIn my opinion this is the greatest comedy bit ever. Rowan Atkinson 'plays' the piano in the manner of a cartoon character.
This was a part of Amnesty International's 'The Secret Policeman's Ball' filmed in 1979, and also starring John Cleese, Billy Connoly, Michael Palin, Peter Cook and many more.

The fact the Pathetique intro (in C minor) is transposed to match the key of the Moonlight finale (C# minor) is a nice touch.

It's years I watch Rowan Atkinson and only now I realize how big is his talent.. I play piano (although surely not good as this) and must say that this requires a lot of memory, musical sensibility and timing, because this kind of music is continuously changing speed and depending on the interpretation. Even if he doesn't "play" the exact notes, it must have exact timing. If two Monthy Python's were also there, it must have been a wonderful show and it's nice it had been done for Amnesty.
