I have alway's enjoyed Bolet. A great talker on music. I believe this video was produced in Australia so one of the last. I am not a musician or musicoligist I just enjoy what appeals to me. This is beautiful.

je ne trouve pas qu'il arpège de trop, sont rubato est excellent.

Parce que tu etais dans la tete de chopin quand il composa cette nocturne ? tu pourra lire tous les textes tu ne saura jamais comment il la jouée lui meme, alors laisse la musique "libre" au lieu de la cantonner un 1 veritée.

d'ailleur il preferais l'entendre jouée par Liszt ;)

No he isn't reading anything he's playing it by feel and emotion and catches it probably somewhere as close as humanly possible to Chopin as anyone can? Listen and understand and listen to the feel rather than making statements of cerebral nonsense!

I'm going with nigel on this one. although, i think tvzi erez does a beautiful version too. i probably prefer that one. but i love watching this guy play. it's so delicate. i've never seen someone play piano like that.

The interpretation is akin to the one by Tomas Vasary in a recording of his, but even finer IMO. I like it a lot.

Une interprétation qui ressemble à un voyage intérieur.
Mais Bolet arpège trop.
Il abuse du rubato parfois, et accélère le tempo sans nécessité.
La solitude radicale qu'exprime ce Nocturne désespéré se noie dans un rêve intime qui me semble loin de l'écriture précise de Chopin.

J'expliquerai, en musique, ce que je veux dire.
