Why do people think he was the first person to sit down and listen to noises around him. Whenever I compose, I like to sit in silence and listen to sounds around me for inspiration. If you need a composer to make you sit quietly for 4'33" to appreciate life, then you've been deprived. He's not the first. It's evident in nature. We've never needed someone before to explain this simple fact to us. So why do people hold him as a great freethinker? He meerly took credit, for something already known.

John Cage was never able to play any instrument.
He never learned the tecnique of composition and harmony.
He was a failed composer who tried to take shelter in alternative and ridicouls form of music just to hide his real limits.

No, it's not like that my friend. I like beautiful art and performances, and this is just an stupid idea, to make some stupid people think of it as smth extraordinary, and make them lie themselves. Is like that guy who put a glass of PEE in a museum and all the people where like "woww" this is great. It's JUST PEE.
