numbing numbered numerous Comments:

meant to say: "But if it is OK to be exclusively interested in them, at the expense..."

Nothing per se, of course. But if it is OK to be excluded at them at the expense of all others (seasoned artists), is it OK for me not to be particularly enchanted by "young talent"? Even, perhaps, to make a dumb comment [re: ugly] in the process of expressing my opinion?

i think that kids that are this good really have a special talent. i do play myself and im fairly young but you know there are some times where its just like enough and ill want to go watch tv or go out with my friends
i bet this amazingly talented girl has barely any friends(sry if i offended anyone)

DaniDesperation: How much is your bet? Because you lost. Her parents do not interfere with her piano. They are non musical and wanted her to stop as the lessons were expensive and they are quite poor. I am one of Aimi's sponsors and it's thanks to us all that she could continue to play. Now she is touring the world
and she is never so happy than on a stage.

well...if playing piano is what she enjoys and her parents are just supporting that...then I think it's her choice; however I do agree that parents can cross the line sometimes.

Yes this child is amazing.
However, I do feel immensely sorry for her as the only way a child her age could be that good, even with a hell of a lot of natural talent, is absolutely constant practise. I would put a lot of money on the fact she has some incredibly pushy parents that don't let her do anything other that practise. She shouldn't be turned into a prodigy at her age, she deserves to have her youth first, at least.
